These exercises are intended to introduce the student to all 12 Major scales. Repeating 5 notes of the scale at a time, the exercise takes this basic sequence starting on every degree of the scale (ie. root to leading tone). This enables a student to become familiar with a particular key signature and developes flexibility to start the scale on any note, not just the root. Practice SLOWLY at first and gradually increase the speed.
